This workbook contains 100 addition worksheets. Each worksheet has 20 to 35 problems. Exercises vary from 2-digit numbers added to 1-digit numbers to 4-digit numbers added to 4-digit numbers. Each worksheet has designated room at the top for students to write their names and for teachers or parents to record the score and time. All of the exercises are numbered for easy reference. All of the answers are tabulated in the back of the book, also with numbers so that teachers or parents can easily check the solutions. The problems are written with a size 14 font and the digits have a little space between them in order to provide room for students to write and line their numbers up with the problems. The copyright notice allows teachers and parents who purchase this book to reproduce selected worksheets for their own students and children.
The math worksheet series by Anne Fairbanks are perfect and exactly what I was looking for my 7 year old. I was not satisfied with other drill books which provided only limited practice. The books are very reasonably priced for the number of exercises given, and helped my son to be confident with his addition and math facts. I purchased the whole series because I'm afraid they may not be sold anymore on Amazon (here today, gone tomorrow). My son was able to finish the "100 Addition Facts", "100 Subtraction Facts", "100 Addition Practice", and "100 Subtraction Practice." I will get him started on the "100 Multiplication Facts" after he gets better familiarity with his multiplication facts, otherwise it lessens the purpose for him starting these drill worksheets. My son is no whiz. What makes these books great is that they are suitable for EVERY CHILD to learn from. Everyone learns better by more and more practice. Nowadays, all the IPad apps, whiteboards, computer software, they're nice useful enhancements. However, it is my firm belief that nothing beats the old-fashioned way of learning, i.e., drill and practice. If you do get this book, I would recommend finishing the whole book even if your child is doing pretty well half-way through. With my son, he became overconfident and starting making careless mistakes, so I used that as a teaching moment for him to learn to slow down and check his mistakes. The only downside is that I wish the answer sheets were perforated. When you don't have time to correct the worksheets everyday and you need to check 6 worksheets, you want to check the answers against the solutions in the back in case you make some careless mistakes yourself.Excellent value for a book series in a simple and humble in its form.
