I see some reviewers saying they broke them? Some customers severely overtighten them, making release difficult so they continue to tighten until they break. A sticker advises to snug, not overtighten the straps. Follow this simple instruction and the ratchets will last a lifetime of use. I ordered the version with a handle but got a version without it. Most do not. The version with the handle costs more (because it includes the handle) if you ordered the less expensive unit and it does not have a handle this is why. I lost my hex key how do I replace it? It's super easy to replace all you have to do is go down to your local hardware store and get a piece of 1/4" hex shaft. Or an Allen wrench with the 90 degree bend cut off will work great if you have an extra. Can it be modified to fit a 17oz spray can? There is no need to modify it, they will any 17 oz spray can as is. Please do note these cans are heavier so you might want to keep that in mind and not shake these as fast as smaller, lighter cans. What speed works best to shake the paint. We've found 300 RPM [5 shakes per second] maximum to be best.
